The properties that stayed 24/7
Wynn and Encore never dropped 24-hour service and their overnight menu is the best of the bunch — a shortened version of the daytime menu including a $32 burger that's actually good at 3am. Bellagio kept 24-hour service and its overnight menu is heavy on comfort food with a decent Caesar. Aria runs 24-hour service with a smaller overnight menu focused on sandwiches and pizza. Cosmopolitan's Wicked Spoon closes but in-room dining keeps going through the night with limited items.
Waldorf Astoria and Four Seasons Las Vegas both run 24-hour service with the small-hotel advantage that orders arrive faster — often 20 minutes versus 45+ at bigger properties. Nobu Hotel at Caesars offers 24-hour Nobu in-room, which sounds absurd but works — a truncated version of the restaurant menu delivered to your suite. Delano and Vdara both run 24-hour service with limited overnight menus.
Where room service died and what replaced it
MGM Grand, Mandalay Bay (except Delano tower and Four Seasons floors), Luxor, Excalibur, New York-New York, Park MGM, Mirage, Paris, Planet Hollywood, and Caesars Palace mostly moved to daytime-only room service — usually 6am to 11pm or midnight. Some have replaced overnight service with app-based delivery from the casino's own restaurants that stay open, which works for pizza and burgers but not for a proper meal.
Third-party delivery apps fill the gap for anything else. DoorDash and Uber Eats deliver to Strip hotels but the bell desk process adds 15-20 minutes because drivers can’t come up to rooms. For consistently good late-night food without leaving, book Wynn, Bellagio, or Waldorf Astoria — the price premium versus MGM properties is often justified by exactly this.
Good to know
How much is the delivery fee and gratuity on room service?+
Standard Strip room service adds a $6-8 delivery fee plus 20-22% service charge, plus you’re expected to tip the delivery person $3-5. A $30 breakfast becomes $45-50.
Can I order from restaurants inside the hotel to my room?+
At Wynn, Bellagio, and Aria, yes — several of their signature restaurants offer in-room delivery during their open hours. Ask the concierge for the current list.
