What is walkable
The whole town core is walkable in 20 minutes. From the Genoa Bar you can walk to the Mormon Station State Historic Park (site of the original 1851 trading post, with a small museum), the old Genoa Courthouse Museum, and about three restaurants including the Pink House. David Walley's is a mile south — walkable but usually driven. Kingsbury Grade climbs from Genoa up to Stateline in 15 minutes by car, connecting to Heavenly's Nevada base. Carson City is 15 minutes north via Foothill Road, one of the prettiest short drives in the state.
