Nevada in 3 days, upgraded

Three days built for a $2,500-per-person budget: suite on the Strip, chef's-table dinners, a helicopter over Red Rock, and no lines.

The room: Wynn or Fontainebleau

Wynn's Tower Suites run about $550 a night with a private entrance, a separate check-in, and a pool most guests never find. The newer Fontainebleau, open since December 2023, undercuts Wynn slightly at $450 and has the best gym on the Strip. Both refuse to charge the standard $50 resort fee to suite guests if you ask at check-in.

Skip the Bellagio unless you can get a Fountain View room; the standard tower is dated.

Day 1: chef's tables and a private club

Lunch at Sadelle's inside Bellagio ($60 with a glass of champagne). Afternoon at the Encore Beach Club dayclub, $75 cover but skip that with a bottle service reservation from $650. Dinner at Joel Robuchon inside MGM Grand, the only 3-Michelin-star restaurant in Nevada; the 16-course tasting is $475. Book 60 days out. Nightcap at the Delilah supper club at Wynn, jackets encouraged, cocktails $24.

Day 2: helicopter and a spa afternoon

Maverick and Sundance both fly the Red Rock and Hoover Dam loop from $299 per person for 70 minutes. Book the 7am departure for stable air and shadow-free canyon photos. Back on the Strip by 10am for brunch at Peppermill (yes, the old-school one on the north Strip, $28 for the fireplace-lit dining room).

Afternoon: the Spa at Encore, day pass $75 for non-guests, or free if you booked the Tower Suites. Facial from $250. Dinner at Bazaar Meat, order the tableside Iberico ham carving.

Day 3: Lake Las Vegas or a Grand Canyon add-on

Two options. Slow day: drive 25 minutes to Lake Las Vegas, brunch at Luna Rossa on the water ($45 with wine), rent an electric boat for $150 an hour, back on the Strip by 4pm.

Ambitious day: private Cessna to the Grand Canyon West Rim, walk the Skywalk ($90 add-on), and be back for a 7pm dinner at Carbone in the Aria. Papillon Grand Canyon runs the flight from $499. Cap the trip with a Sphere show; A-side floor tickets run $250 to $400.

Good to know

Which Strip hotel has the best pool for adults?+

Encore Beach Club is the party pool; the quiet counterpart is the pool at Waldorf Astoria on the 8th floor, adults only and no music.

How far in advance should I book Joel Robuchon?+

60 days is safe, 30 days is possible on weeknights, and same-day requires a concierge. The tasting menu sells out first.

Is bottle service worth it in Vegas?+

If you are a party of 4 or more paying $50-plus covers each, yes. A $650 table often lands you a $150-per-person cost with the drinks included and no line.

Can I get married on this itinerary?+

Yes. The Marriage Bureau at 201 Clark Avenue issues licenses in 30 minutes ($102, no appointment). Chapel of the Flowers on Las Vegas Boulevard does elegant ceremonies from $299.
